The name Millie’s carries a rich history, deeply intertwined with Westgate-on-Sea’s vibrant past. Once known as St Mildred’s Hotel, fondly referred to as “Millie’s” by locals, it was a bustling social hub in the 1950s and 60s. Crowds of dance-mad youngsters would gather here, enjoying live music, seaside views, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Though the original venue disappeared, its spirit and legacy never faded. In 2017, Millie’s was revived, just a short distance from its original home, bringing back the lively energy, community spirit, and love for great food and entertainment that made it so iconic.
We have continued this tradition, hosting live music nights every Friday and bringing people together through bingo, quiz nights, game nights, and special events—keeping the social heartbeat of Millie’s alive and thriving.
